100 Startups Compete in Entrepreneurship World Cup Finals at Biban 23
SPA — The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises “Monshaat” is sponsoring the finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) competition, which will be held on March 10 for three days, as part of the Biban Forum 23, organised by Monshaat at the Riyadh Front Exhibitions and Conference Center (RFECC) under the slogan “Opportunities to realize entrepreneurship”, from March 9 to 13, 2023. In cooperation with the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), some 100 startups from around the world are expected to compete for the chance to win $1 million in prizes.
The EWC competition is the largest event for global entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia; it aims at attracting entrepreneurial projects that serve the Kingdom’s directions, stimulate local investment and attract foreign investment, highlighting the promising opportunities available and involving entrepreneurial projects from around the world in solving national challenges, in addition to enabling partners and supporters to achieve their goals.
The EWC finalists were selected after having succeeded in their national competitions, around the world, and after having participated in a global training camp that brought together the best 250 companies; of these, the top 100 emerging startups will compete as finalists for a chance to win at Biban Forum 23. The competition has attracted 400,000 registrants and entrepreneurs from 200 countries and organizations.
The EWC competition provides an opportunity to projects from around the world to participate and compete for the title, in addition to encouraging entrepreneurs and guiding them from the moment they present an idea through to the growth stage. It also provides a unique opportunity to obtain training, meet entrepreneurs and access supportive platforms in this field, develop the capabilities of men and women entrepreneurs, refine their skills, and present their ideas for effective projects in the global market.
The EWC competition is being held at Biban Forum 23 in partnership with the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “MiSK” and GEN, an organization that operates in 200 countries to support and facilitate the start and expansion of enterprises.
Biban Forum 23 is a most important tool that has helped the rapid development witnessed by the Kingdom in the small and medium enterprises sector and entrepreneurship.
